General questions

I'm unsure about the size, can you advise me on this?

Please take a look at our measuring instructions in advance, where you will find detailed information on how to measure your furry friend.

We would be happy to advise you personally on the perfect fit for your new collar, harness or branded collar in order to clear up any uncertainties in advance and avoid returns. Simply write us an email .

Do you make the leashes and collars yourself?

We make each product by hand and with a lot of love and care in our small studio in Zurich.

Are the collars and leashes also sewn?

The safety of your four-legged friend is very important to us, which is why all of our rope leashes and collars are carefully sewn with strong saddlery thread.

Can my dog ​​go into the water with his new Helvetic Dogs product?

The materials used in our products are water-safe and resistant to mildew and rot.

Rain doesn't affect your new Helvetic Dogs products, no matter how strong it may be. Simply take off the collar after a walk in the rain and leave it open in a dry place to dry.

However, you should pay attention to the fact that our collars, leashes and EM chains will wear out more quickly and look that way when you're happily splashing about in the lake or stream. If you want your Helvetic Dogs product to look as good as new for a long time, you should take off your furry friend's collar or dog chain before bathing in the happy water.

Does Helvetic Dogs care about our environment?

Local handcraft - an important contribution to sustainability or just a bunch of colorful threads and fabric scraps? At Helvetic Dogs we agree: it's both! We attach great importance to the fact that our products are not only beautiful and unique, but also that we produce them in a sustainable and environmentally conscious manner. Local handcraft is like yoga for the environment - it relaxes, promotes sustainability and makes you incredibly happy!

Our mission is to not only create unique and handcrafted products, but also to have a positive impact on our world.

That's why we only use environmentally friendly and recyclable materials in the shipping process - because who needs plastic when you have a dog like Nala who likes to shred the cardboard? When selecting our materials, we also rely on small companies from Switzerland and Europe to ensure that our products are manufactured fairly and in an environmentally friendly manner.

And don't worry, we have no animal suffering on our conscience - we use leftover pieces for our leather products whenever possible. We call it upcycling - the animals call it a big relief.

Product care

How do I care for products with greased leather?

Fatty leather is covered with a fatty layer. Very robust leather is often used as the starting material. This light protective layer of grease makes the leather supple and therefore very resilient. It is also less susceptible to environmental influences such as moisture, cold or water. Your four-legged friend can also dance in the rain or dare to jump into the cool water with his new greased leather product. But please remember to wash it off with clean water after swimming and “refresh” the fat layer so that it stays supple.

This is how easy it is to care for a dog harness or collar made of greased leather:

A transparent leather grease is best.

Wet a soft cloth with a little leather grease and pull the leather collar through the cloth a few times. You can now massage the “new” layer of fat into the leather. Simply remove excess grease with the cloth.

Please note: Products with greased leather must not be washed in the washing machine!

How do I clean the dirty rope?

You can simply clean the rope we use by hand with soap and water to keep your Helvetic Dogs product clean and hygienic.

However, for the safety of your loved one, please make sure to handle the products carefully.

Are your products also available in other colors?

We can adapt each product individually to your wishes.

If we do not have the material for your individual request in stock, we can in most cases fulfill your request for a small additional charge and a little more time.

Can you combine different healing stones in a healing stone necklace?

Naturally! In principle, it is absolutely possible and even recommended to wear different healing stones at the same time and combine them with each other, both for you and for your dog.

The variety of healing stones makes it possible to use the unique energetic properties and combine them with each other. If the combined stones have different effects, they can complement each other and have a regulating effect on each other, which can lead to a harmonious balance.

You can easily combine several gemstones in a necklace or bracelet to create a personal and effective source of energy for your four-legged friend or yourself.

Wearing several pieces of jewelry at the same time is of course possible at any time, depending on which energy field you want to strengthen on a particular day.

However, it is important to understand the meaning and effects of each healing stone before combining them for you or your furry friend. Each stone has its specific powers and properties, and it is advisable to make a selection that suits your personal goals and needs.

Does Helvetic Dogs also make show lines for the ring?

Yes, Helvetic Dogs offers the option of making show lines for the ring according to individual wishes.

You can write to us by email and discuss your ideas regarding material, length, color and design of the show line.

We will then endeavor to create a show line that meets your requirements and the requirements of the ring.

Please note that the production of your showline cannot be ordered as an express order.

Can I exchange my product?

Our products are individually made by hand for our customer dogs and are therefore not subject to the traditional right of withdrawal.

For this reason, each product is not eligible for a refund.

That's why it's very important that you carefully measure the neck circumference of your furry friend before each purchase and let us know the exact neck circumference when you make your purchase.

Each product is checked before shipping and packaged only after careful quality control. If for any reason you have received an item with a manufacturing defect, please notify us by email within 7 days of receipt with a description and photo of the defect.

We will check the matter and get back to you within max. 48 hours.

Please contact us if there is a problem with your product.
We will definitely find a solution together because we want you and your furry friend to enjoy our products!

This service is excluded for damage caused by normal wear and tear, misuse, negligence, accidents, extreme temperatures, humidity, liquids of any kind, damage in transit, etc.

Is return shipping free for an exchange?

We ask for your understanding that, as a small and ecologically sustainable family business, we cannot currently offer free returns.

If you exchange your item, we ask you to cover the shipping costs yourself.

It's been a while since my order and now the product is damaged. What can I do?

To ensure the safety of your loved one, please note that improper use of the items ordered may result in unforeseeable impairments. Please take good care of your products and avoid:

- Damage caused by chewing or biting by your four-legged friend

- Scratches, abrasions, grinding marks

- Wash in the spin cycle

- Damage caused by improper care and use (e.g. throwing carabiners on the ground)

- Damage caused by excessive use in water and dirt

Since we use many natural materials, traces of use, such as on leather products (scratches, cracks, scars), are unfortunately unavoidable.

With a little regular care, the products stay supple (rinse with clear water, let dry and lightly grease) and the leather acquires a beautiful patina.

If your product has a flaw after long-term use that is not caused by the wear and tear mentioned above, please feel free to contact us at info@helveticdogs.ch.

We also offer repairs for a small fee.

How long does it take for my order to arrive?

With standard shipping, your order will take between 5 and 9 business days to be made and shipped before it arrives.

Standard shipping costs us: 6.90.-

With Express Shipping, your order will arrive between 3 and 5 working days. Express shipping costs us: 12.90.-
